Easychute instructions

If the renovation is taking place on an upper floor, the flexible rubbish chute is ideal for getting your waste straight into your skip. It saves a lot of lugging things down the stairs. This video shows you how to use the rubbish chute.

How to use the Easy Chute

Below you can read the steps as well.

What’s in the set?

The basic set is 3 metres long. It contains a chute, a filling hopper, 5 small rubble bags, 2 straps and 4 cable ties.

Need a longer chute? Each extension (a 3-metre chute with 4 cable ties) adds 2.4 metres, because the sections slide 60 centimetres into each other. With one extension you reach 5.4 metres, with two 7.8 metres.

How to hang the chute

  1. Work out how long the chute needs to be: from the window or balcony to just above the skip.
  2. Connect the sections. Slide them 60 centimetres into each other and secure them with the cable ties through the loops on the side.
  3. Put the filling hopper in the top and attach the straps to the loops of the top section.
  4. Hanging the chute from a window? Slide a sturdy beam or batten through the two straps. The beam must be longer than the window frame. Place it against the inside of the frame, so the chute can’t fall out.
  5. On a balcony or scaffolding, fasten the straps firmly to the railing or the scaffold tube.
  6. Let the bottom hang into the skip and secure it there, for example with a rope. The straighter the chute hangs, the better.

Safe use

  • Put sharp and heavy rubble, such as roof tile fragments and pieces of concrete, in a rubble bag first. That reduces wear on the chute.
  • Keep the chute as straight as possible, so less gets stuck halfway.
  • Something stuck anyway? Stop and clear the chute first.
  • Stay away from the bottom of the chute while waste is going down.

After use

The chute is reusable. Shake it empty, rinse it with water and let it dry properly. Then fold it flat, so it takes up little space.

Finished with your project?

Do make sure the Easy Chute rubble chute is allowed in the container you've ordered:

  • Plastic and cardboard are not allowed in a rubble skip or a green waste skip. If they're found, the skip will be reclassified as a construction and demolition waste skip and an additional charge will apply.
  • Have you already ordered a construction and demolition waste, bulky waste or mixed garden waste skip? Then it can simply go in there. Otherwise, the Easy Chute flexible rubble chute can go in with the residual waste.
