Hassle-free waste skip hire

Ordering a skip is really convenient and saves you a lot of time. You don't have to go to the recycling centre, you can keep working on your project and there's no waste lying around while you work: that's more pleasant, but also safer. And skip hire is something you simply arrange online. We deliver throughout the Netherlands, and if you order before 16:00, it's at your door the next day.

It's especially quick if you can put the container on your own property. Just make sure there's enough room to place the container, that it can't damage anything, and bear in mind that a full container weighs quite a lot.

Tips

  • Not sure which size? Order a larger skip. Hiring a second skip costs more. See the dimensions of each container.
  • Check whether you need a permit. On your own property it's fine; on public land you sometimes need a permit needed.
  • Know what can go in your container. Check this for your waste type, so you know exactly what can go in it.

Do the Container Check

How do you order a container?

1. Choose the size

To order the right waste skip, you need to know what size it should be. Start by estimating how much waste you'll have. Finding that tricky? Try the Container Check above. If you're torn between two sizes, go for the larger one. There's usually more waste than you expect, and two small containers cost more than one large one. Containers come in 3 m³, 6 m³, 10 m³ and even larger sizes.

2. Choose a waste type

There are many different waste types you can hire a skip for. The reason there are so many comes down to how each type is processed. We aim to recycle as much of every waste type as possible to keep the impact on the environment as low as we can. Have you got bulky waste, construction and demolition waste or rubble? Check the pages for each waste type to see what can and can’t go in that waste skip, so you can work out which waste type you need.

3. Order your container

You can then order the container and select your preferred delivery date. Paying is easy with iDEAL, credit card or later via Klarna. Once you've ordered, the container is delivered as soon as possible (often the next working day). You pay a fixed rate incl. VAT for this. The container can stay free of rental charges for 6 weeks.

Container materials and construction

Our waste skips are made of sturdy metal and finished with a thick layer of special coating. They can take a knock, so you can tip stones and hard metals into the skip without any problems, even from an upper floor using a rubbish chute, for example.

Lowered front

The front of the open skips is lowered, so you can easily throw your waste in. This is especially handy for heavy waste, as you don't have to lift it up high. The height is designed so that, with a ramp placed at an angle against the skip, you can tip a wheelbarrow straight into it. Enclosed containers such as a 20m³ or 40m³ have a door and a low step-in, so you can even wheel your barrow into the container without a ramp.

What if it rains?

Rain can be annoying when you're doing a job. The skip copes with it just fine, so that's one thing you don't need to worry about. There are no holes in the bottom of the skip. If it rains heavily, a layer of water can build up in the skip, and the waste gets wet and may become heavier. When you hire a skip, you pay an all-in price. So you won't pay a surcharge for the extra weight of the rain.

If you'd rather your waste didn't get wet or a layer of water didn't collect in the container (for example, because it might splash when you throw heavy items in), you can also choose a 10m³ closed container. It has a lid that closes the container. You can also lock the lid with a padlock (not supplied).

Frequently asked questions about skip hire
