Separating pays off

The rate for paper and cardboard is much lower than the rate for residual waste. Anything you keep separate doesn’t have to be disposed of as residual waste. That makes a difference on your invoice and it’s better for the environment.

Many businesses start with residual waste and paper, then add PMD, glass or coffee cups. You can add extra streams whenever it suits you.

Frequently asked questions about wheelie bins

How is it different from a waste skip?

You hire a waste skip once for a specific job: it's delivered, you fill it and it's collected again. A wheelie bin stays put and is emptied on a fixed schedule, for which you pay a monthly fee.

How often is the container emptied?

You choose: once every four weeks, once every two weeks, weekly or twice a week. Not every frequency is available for every container – the selector shows you what's possible.

What if I have more or less waste?

Get in touch and we'll adjust the frequency or size. You're not tied to the choice you make now.

Can I use several waste streams at the same time?

Yes. Many businesses combine residual waste with paper and cardboard, because the rate for paper is lower. Whatever you separate doesn't have to be disposed of as residual waste.

Will the container be emptied or swapped?

Most bins are emptied on site. Organic waste, swill and coffee grounds are swapped for a clean bin, for reasons of hygiene and smell.
