Planning a major renovation, demolition or big clear-out? Then a 20m³ skip is often a smart move. Think of stripping an entire floor, removing an old shed or clearing out a house. A skip like this also comes in handy for large garden projects such as removing trees. No more trips back and forth to the recycling centre – everything sorted in one go.
A 20m³ skip is ideal if you have a lot of waste.
With a 20m³ skip, you don't have to keep driving to the recycling centre. That saves time and effort.
A 20m³ skip makes big jobs much easier. You have enough space in one go, even for large items such as furniture or building rubble.
Exactly what you can dispose of depends on the type of skip you choose. A construction and demolition waste skip takes wood, metal, rubble, plaster and glass. Got mainly bulky waste or household items? Then go for a bulky waste skip. Please note: asbestos, chemical waste and electrical appliances are almost never allowed. So always check the provider's terms and conditions.

The cost depends on the type of waste. A rubble skip is usually the cheapest option, with prices from around €435. For mixed construction waste or bulky waste, the price is between €900 and €1.200. This often includes delivery, collection and processing of the waste. Bear in mind that a maximum weight sometimes applies – if you go over it, you'll pay extra.
A 20m³ skip is a big one: roughly 6.5 metres long and just over 2 metres wide. In practice, that means two parking spaces. So make sure you have enough room on your property. If you don't, you can usually have it placed on the street instead, but you'll often need a permit.
In most municipalities you can simply place a skip on your own property. For the pavement or street, you'll usually need to apply for a permit. Check this with your local council beforehand – it saves hassle later on.
A 20m³ skip is especially worthwhile for large jobs. It saves you trips to the tip and has room for almost all your waste. Pay attention to your provider's terms and always check whether you need a permit. That way, you'll make things a lot easier for yourself.
